About

Energy Management System (EMS) is a crucial set of hardware and software tools designed to monitor, control and manage the production, storage and distribution of energy.

It is commonly used together with Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) in order to allow users to maximize efficiency and reliability of their installations as well as to monitor the operation of power plants and manage working conditions. It also constitute a bridge to grid operators, taking part in communication related to grid services such as frequency regulation, arbitrage and other, mostly in bigger scale systems. EMS may integrate various energy resources and technologies to ensure that the outcome of the system is optimal, providing it’s users with in-depth summaries and possible system adjustments insights.

Adjusting system components work according to pre-set algorithms, changing working conditions according to grid operator signals

Predictions of energy demand and generation based on historical data, trends and weather forecasts (within renewable sources)
